Trademarks "Sealex" and "Gistan" resold at auction

According to the results of the new auction, the trademarks "Sealex Sealeks", "Sealex" and Sealex were sold for 3.4 million, 8.1 million and 3.2 million rubles, respectively. Biologically active supplements (BAA) for increasing male potency were produced under these brands. The winner of the auction purchased "Gistan" and Gistan for more than 8.1 million rubles each. RIA "Panda" produced a cream for treating allergies under this brand.
According to SPARK-Interfax, individual entrepreneur Artur Surikovich Margaryan is engaged in wholesale trade in agricultural, livestock, textile raw materials and semi-finished products, grain, unprocessed tobacco, etc. The individual entrepreneur owns 100% of the shares of Technopark Volginsky LLC.
In March 2025, at an open auction during which the same trademarks were sold, the bidding was won by Elizaveta Khabarova, representing the interests of Dialog LLC. At that time, the brands were sold for 87.5 million rubles.
In November 2024, the Sestroretsk District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced the owner of the bankrupt company RIA Panda Igor Vorobyov to five years probation with a probationary period of 4 years and a fine of 2.5 million rubles for the circulation of counterfeit, poor-quality and unregistered drugs (clause "a" of Part 2 of Article 238.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court found the general director of another manufacturer of dietary supplements, VIS LLC, Sergei Nazarov guilty under the same article. He was sentenced to a similar punishment.
According to the investigation and the court, in 2009, Vorobey proposed to the then CEO of VIS LLC, Arkady Utkin, to manufacture dietary supplements and cosmetics with the addition of medicinal products. Subsequently, such products began to be supplied to pharmacy chains with false information about the composition of the products. Law enforcement officers came to the conclusion that Utkin was aware that VIS LLC did not have the necessary license. Despite this, he agreed and purchased the pharmaceutical substances - sodium diclofenac, ibuprofen and tadalafil. The businessmen were engaged in the production of such products from March to July 2010, as the court and the investigation believe.
In January 2013, Sergey Nazarov took office as CEO of VIS LLC. He and Vorobey used a similar scheme from June 2014 to March 2015. 461.3 thousand packages of SeaLex Forte and 306.1 thousand packages of Ali Caps with the addition of tadalafil, which was not declared during state registration, were manufactured. The defendants delivered them under contracts worth more than 524.4 million rubles. In addition, Vorobey failed to pay VAT and income tax for a total of 707.1 million rubles. With fines and penalties, the amount reached about 2 billion rubles.
After the investigation began, representatives of the RIA Panda company stated that the dietary supplements did not contain active ingredients of medicinal drugs, citing "independent scientific research." However, Rospotrebnadzor decided to withdraw popular dietary supplements for men Sealex Forte and Ali Caps from the market, the total sales of which amounted to about 3 billion rubles per year.
In July 2017, searches were conducted in the office and production facilities of RIA Panda in St. Petersburg in connection with a criminal case initiated against the company for tax evasion in the amount of more than 144 million rubles. In May 2018, Igor Vorobyov was detained by employees of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg, and in September 2019, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Yuri Ponomarev approved the indictment in the criminal case against the defendants.
